14 Revenue Department employees transferred

KOHAT: Taking serious notice of the irregularities in the Revenue Department (RD), deputy commissioner ordered immediate transfers of 14 officials and sacked another here on Friday, sources said.
The sources said acting on the public complaints, Deputy Commissioner Kamran Afridi ordered expulsion of Tehsildar Ghulam Muhammad from the district. He sacked Political Muharrir Yousaf Hayat and transferred 13 patwaris.
The patwaris transferred were Nasraf Shah, Tariq, Muhammad Zubair, Javed Anwar, Shahzada, Abdur Razzaq, Miraj Khan, Farid Gul, Muhammad Aqib, Asmatullah, Phool Badshah, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Rasool.
The sources said the Political Muharrir Yousaf Hayat was involved in selling 86 Kalashnikovs from the store. “Besides public complaints, the deputy commissioner was also directed by the chief secretary to take stern action against the employees of the Revenue Department for their involvement in embezzlement and corruption,” an official, pleading anonymity, told The News.
He added that there was political pressure being mounted on the deputy commissioner for reshuffling the employees.The official said most of the patwaris had been working at the same station for the last 10-11 years and were found involved in corruption.
