Transgender shot dead in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Unidentified attacker killed a transgender in the Super Market near Qayum Stadium on Sunday.
Police said the slain transgender was identified as Spogmai.
A 9mm pistol was used and five shots were fired which critically injured Spogmai. She was shifted to hospital where she couldn’t survive.
Police started the investigation and interviewed the witnesses. “From the preliminary inquiry it revealed one Wassi ullah has been living with her and after the incident he was seen running from the crime scene along with gun.
Police is getting CCTV footage of the area and investigating all other aspects,” SP Cantonment Wasim Riaz told reporters. He added that Imran (the cook of Spogmai) has directly charged Wassi ullah for the murder of spogmai.
Police has already raided house of wassi ullah and his brother in Bhanamari but no arrests were made.
