Mobile phone snatched at gunpoint

PESHAWAR: The mobile phone snatching incidents continue in the provincial metropolis as a citizen was deprived of his phone on Thursday.According to a first information report (FIR) lodged at Bhanamari Police Station, complainant Jawad Ali Shah, resident of Qaidabad, stated that people riding motorcycles snatched mobile phone from him at gunpoint after beating him severely.The complainant stated that he was on his way home near the Qaidabad BHU when a six-member gang appeared on three motorcycles and stopped him. He claimed that two of the snatchers pointed pistols at his head and took away his mobile phone. The police registered the FIR and started investigation in the case.
