SOPs implementation at Working Women’s Hostel ordered

Islamabad :Minister of State for Human Rights Barrister Usman Ibrahim on Thursday ordered the implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and rules to promote and protect the rights of working women living in the Working Women's Hostel, Sector G-6/3.
He also asked the relevant officials to prepare PC-1 for the renovation of the hostel's main building. The minister issued the directions while presiding over a meeting on the working of the Working Women's Hostel, G-6/3.
The minister also ordered action against the hostel tenants, who have defaulted on payments, in line with the SOPs and rules. He said there was a need for the administering of the hostel in a better way to the benefit of working women living there.
The minister ordered the hostel management to ensure discipline and enforce regulations on the premises. Joint secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights Humaira Azam Khan and manager of the Working Women Hostel Saira Furqan briefed the minister about the issues facing by the hostel's administration and tenants and measures planned and being taken to address them.
They and other participants praised the minister for its interest in improvement of the hostel's affairs. Previously known as the Nusrat Bhutto Working Women Hostel, the hostel located behind the Melody Food Street is overseen by the Human Rights Ministry.
