Naval chief visits forward posts in Sir Creek

KARACHI: The Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi visited the Pakistan Navy’s forward posts in the Sir Creek near the Pak-India border on Tuesday to review the operational readiness of the Pak Marines deployed there.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi interacted with troops deployed at the forward posts and appreciated their morale and dedication for performing their duties in harsh topographical conditions of the creeks. The naval chief was also given briefing during visit to the Sir Creek.
While highlighting the importance of the sacred responsibility the nation had entrusted upon them, the naval chief emphasised the importance of high moral values, physical standards and rigorous training.
Admiral Abbasi expressed satisfaction with the operational preparedness and combat readiness of the troops. He also reiterated the Pakistan Navy’s resolve to safeguard the maritime frontiers and maritime interests of the nation at all costs. Earlier, upon arrival, the chief of the naval staff was received by Commander Coast Rear Admiral Moazzam Ilyas.
