OKARA: Local leaders, workers and activists of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Monday celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the party in a function held at the residence of Baba Abdul Jabbar Baghi. Addressing the function, the speakers said that the party gave an honourable identity to the nation, extended leadership to the Islamic world in constituting an Islamic bloc, gave the nation a unanimous constitution, gave foreign jobs to Pakistanis and provided facilities to the nation in every respect. They said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto trained the nation in politics, dragged out politics from drawing rooms to streets. Pakistan People’s Party leaders Riaz Nagori, Tehsil president Rao Ayazul Kareem, city general secretary Rao Rafiq Sajid, secretary information Salman Ahmad Qureshi and other leaders also addressed the participants. Later, the Pakistan People’s Party activists cut a cake to commemorate the foundation laying of the party.
