Late Haji Adeel remembered for struggle for democracy

PESHAWAR: Speakers paid rich tributes to Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haji Muhammad Adeel at his first death anniversary and remembered him for his struggle for democracy and provincial autonomy.
The ANP Peshawar chapter observed the first death anniversary of Haji Muhammad Adeel at the Bacha Khan Markaz here on Monday by arranging a special function. The speakers said that the late leader played a role in the 18th Constitutional amendment, renaming of the province and securing the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Hoti during his speech said that the late leader was the driving force behind securing the Rs110 billion net hydel profit for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that youth who wanted to join politics should follow Haji Muhammad Adeel as their role model.
