SUKKUR: Accountability Court Sukkur on Monday awarded five-year imprisonment and fine to 18 officers and contractors in a multi-million rupee corruption scandal of Khairpur development schemes.
Those awarded prison terms included executive engineer Rajib Ali Shah, Engineer Jaweed Aftab Tanwri, Nisar Ahmed Shaikh, Abdul Ghani Mangi, Aijaz Ali Memon, Nabi Bakhash Mahar and Faiz Rasool. The Accountability Court also announced five-year imprisonment to contractors Zameer Rajib, Nizamuddin Sahatto, Shahyan Ali Shah, Mushtaq Sarki, Mukhtiar Ahmed, Ameer Bakhash Mahar and Amanullah.
