Two young men die in accidents

Road accidents claimed two more lives in the city on Sunday. The first accident was reported in the wee hours of Sunday in the city’s Mauripur area. As per rescue officials, an 18-year-old pedestrian identified as Adil Razzak was badly injured in an accident on Mauripur Road involving a speeding car.
It was said that Adil had suffered extensive internal and external injuries in the accident and passed away on the spot, before medical help could arrive. His body was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for formalities.
The day’s other road mishap was reported in the metropolis’ Manzoor Colony area, in which a young man was killed and another suffered severe injuries.
Rescue officials identified the victims as 21-year-old Jahanzaib Azizullah and 20-year-old Shahid Mureed. They said the two youths were run over by a speeding vehicle and both suffered multiple injuries in the accident. Of the two, Jahanzaib had passed away at the accidents site before medical help could arrive. Shahid had survived and was admitted to the JPMC where his condition remained critical.
