LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has said the armed forces, security institutions and the masses have offered unparalleled sacrifices in fighting against terrorism and now it is the turn of the politicians to prove their merit in overcoming the political crisis in the country.
According to a press release, addressing a lawyers’ delegation at Mansoora on Thursday, the JI secretary general said the path of clash with the state institutions would be harmful for everybody. He said any campaign against the judiciary and the armed forces to protect the corrupt was not the correct approach.
He said the Constitution, democratic system and the electoral process could be protected through a democratic approach, honesty and competence. He said the Sharif family had failed to prove their innocence at judicial forum through arguments.
