Eight injured in Peshawar inferno

PESHAWAR: At least eight people sustained burn injuries when a house caught fire in the provincial capital on Thursday.
The Rescue 1122 sources said fire erupted in a house situated in Pakha Ghulam area of the provincial capital due to leakage of gas.
The rescue personnel along with fire tenders reached the scene and extinguished the fire.
Four of the injured were shifted to Khyber Teaching Hospital while four others were moved to a health facility in Islamabad due to their serious condition. The head of the effected family, Hazrat Shah, appealed to the government to set up a proper burn unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide treatment to the burn victims.
