Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to ensure timely completion of projects which were assigned to the civic body by the federal government under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The federal capital under the PSDP had been allocated Rs1,944 million for the fiscal year 2014-2015.
The projects include the construction of additional 3rd and 4th lanes at Kashmir Highway from Peshawar Morr to Golra Morr, construction of Charah Dam, installation of security equipment and fire alarm system at Cabinet Block building, security arrangements at Parliament Lodges, construction and upgradation of mosque at Pak Secretariat, construction of second hanger at Islamabad Heliport, strengthening of security arrangements at the Parliament Lodges, construction of security wall outside the existing wall of Islamabad Heliport, construction of administration block in front of Gate 5 of Parliament House, upgradation and renovation of public address simultaneous interpretation and automatic vote casting system which is installed the Senate Hall at Parliament Building, rehabilitation and replacement of 32 lifts at Pak Secretariat Building, construction of 16 Category-IV flats for AGPR in Sector G-9/2, construction of residential accommodation for police at Aiwan-e-Sadr and construction of 104 family suites in Islamabad.
The CDA chairman on Monday chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects at CDA Headquarters. The meeting was attended by Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed, Member Engineering Shahid Sohail, Member Finance Arbab Sher Bahadar, Member Environment Syed Mustafain Kazmi, Member Planning and Design Waseem Ahmed Khan and other senior officers. The chairman also sought regular reports about progress of work on all PSDP projects.
