FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has achieved another milestone as it has become 25th best university of the world in specialized higher education institutions, according to UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2014.
It has jumped to ten positions in a year as it was standing at 35th position in the said category in 2013. It has achieved 5,938 points against 5,050 in 2013. In the ranking, University of Oxford has topped with 7,000 points. It is pertaining to mention here that the UAF is opening up new vistas of progress.
The Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) has also ranked the University as top university of Pakistan in the degree awarding institutions for the year 2013with highest score of 779.17 among all universities of the country. According to National Taiwan University (NTU) ranking it is 97th best university across the globe and 20th in Asia Pacific in the subject of agriculture sciences. It is also a winner of 2012 Science and Technology Prize 2012 announced by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) among the 57 Islamic countries.
