Woman killed, husband, son injured by dacoits

OKARA: Two dacoits killed a woman and injured her husband and son on resistance at Usman Block. A marble trader, Gul Khan, of Dera Ismail Khan along with his family lived in a rented house.

On Sunday night, Gul Khan and his family were sleeping when the dacoits broke into their house. In the meantime, the trader’s wife Naheed Gul woke up and raised hue and cry. It infuriated the dacoits and they opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Naheed was killed on the spot while Gul Khan and 14-year-old Shahzeb Khan were injured. The injured family members were shifted to a hospital.
