Nawaz not going abroad, says Saad
LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday, rejecting the news about Nawaz’s travelling abroad as baseless, said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was not going anywhere.
Talking to the media at Jati Umra, Raiwind, he said Nawaz was fine and fresh, thus not going abroad. He said the Election Commission had snatched the political right of campaign in NA-120 for which the party would go to the court against the decision.
Saad said Federal Commerce Minister Pervaiz Malik had been made in-charge of the election campaign in NA-120 as a political worker in consultation with Hamza Shahbaz. He said Raiwind was the centre of politics for the PML-N workers and therefore they come there to get guidance from their leader.
Talking about the press conference of Chaudhry Nisar, Saad said the former interior minister did not create any hype, adding that there were no differences between Nisar and Pervaiz Rashid.
Saad said dengue was a chronic issue and even the Sri Lankan doctors had admitted the expertise of the doctors of Punjab in overcoming dengue in the province. He asked KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak not to do politics on the issue and extend cooperation to the Punjab's doctors to save the lives of citizens in his province.
"Justice was not done with us, we have reservations regarding NAB, our lawyers are reviewing the matter and we will announce our strategy soon," he said while replying a question. Separately, the railways minister said there was no any rift or grouping in the PML-N but difference of opinion on different matters was a routine matter.
Talking to a private news channel, the minister said the PML-N was fully united and the opponents were busy to spread rumours and trying to create rift in the party but they would never succeeded.
He was of the view that raising objections on the disqualification decision was the basic and constitutional right of everyone. Saad said Aitzaz Ahsan was a liar and Nawaz had never asked the PPP for help. He added that former president Asif Ali Zardari was giving harsh statements against Nawaz for keeping his party intact. Replying to another question, he said PTI chief Imran Khan was not a politician.
