20 workers injured asfactory bus crashes into tree

LAHORE: At least 20 laboures suffered injuries when a speeding bus of a factory rammed into a tree in the Raiwaind police area.

Rescue 1122 teams removed the victims to hospital. The bus of a textile mills was loaded with factory labourers when it rammed into a tree near Raiwind. As a result, the workers suffered injuries while bus was totally damaged.

Youth dies: A 26-year-old man, who had injured himself with a knife at Sanda a couple of days back, died at Mayo Hospital on Tuesday. He was identified as Waseem, a resident of Shibli Town. His father told police that Waseem had sustained injuries while playing with a knife which later damaged his lungs. The victim was admitted to hospital but he could not survive.

Police have removed the body to morgue and initiated legal action. body found: A putrefied body of a 5-year-old boy was found in a canal in the Chung police jurisdiction on Tuesday.

Police said the victim yet to be identified was found dead in the canal. Police, on the information of a local, reached the scene and found the body which seemed two days old. Police have removed the body to morgue and started a search for the deceased’s family.

gangs busted: Investigation Wing of Lahore police claimed to have arrested 162 criminals of 64 gangs and seized a huge cache of weapons and loot from their custody   in the last on month. According to a press release, the police also arrested 139 proclaimed offenders and 254 court absconders during the last one month. 

traffic plan: The City Traffic Police Lahore have devised a plan for smooth flow of traffic outside schools and colleges located on main roads. The chief traffic officer (CTO) has deputed 40 extra traffic wardens for the purpose. He has also directed the sector in-charges and patrol officers to clear traffic personally during peak hours.

According to the plan, parking will be allowed in single lane and action will be taken on wrong parking. With the reopening of schools and colleges after summer vacation, the load of traffic on city roads has increased. The traffic wardens have been directed to maintain flow of traffic outside the educational institutions, including Home Economics College, Apwa College, Kinnaird College, Lahore College for Women, King Edward Medical University, Governmetn Islamia College, Civil Lines. 

Meanwhile, the  city traffic police continued its mission of creating awareness among the citizens about the traffic rules and regulations.  At least 100,000 pamphlets were distributed among the road users. The citizens were warned about the dangers of doing wheelie and stunts. A four-day long campaign was launched in collaboration with motor company on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day celebrations.

Two arrested: A team of Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA Lahore, Tuesday raided a shop at Chungi Amar Sadhu and arrested two accused persons for running illegal gateway exchanges. According to Deputy Director Shahid Hassan, Incharge CRW of the FIA Punjab, the raid was conducted on secret information and two persons namely Hafiz Sajjad and Fayyaz Ahmed were operating gateway exchange. The raiding party, he said, took the entire equipment and other related material into possession. Both the accused persons were arrested and a case was registered against them.
