Pakistan finish South Asian Karate with six gold medals
KARACHI: Pakistan finished the South Asian Karate Championship with six gold, eight silver, and 11 bronze medals.
The competitions were held at the Sugathadasa Sports Complex Indoor Hall in Colombo. Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) said on Sunday that Saadi Abbas once again showed his commitment and won gold medal.
Baz Muhammad, Naseer Ahmed and Kulsoom also retained their titles.“From among the players picked by PKF last year, young Shahbaz Khan won gold medal in the juniors category,” PKF said.
“It is also a great honour for Pakistan that three judges, Ghulam Ali, Wasif Ali and Irfan Ullah Khan, passed Asian Karate Federation’s referees/ judges examination and became Asian qualified judges. Also, Shah Muhammad Shan, Imtiaz Ali, Muhammad Kashif and Shah Faisal passed the AKF coaches examination and became Asian qualified coaches,” the federation said.
