LCWU week-long Independence Day celebrations
LAHORE: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has finalized a plan to observe week long celebrations in connection of Independence Day.
According to a press release LCWU Vice Chancellor LCWU Dr UzmaQureshi, in a meeting approved events, saying functions would be held with traditional fervour and vigour. It was briefed in the meeting that from 7th August to 12th August 2017 LCWU will conduct drama, speech/essay competition, quiz competition, national songs, Naat and Qirat competition, poster exhibition and panel discussion. In this regard the VC assigned duties to teaching and non-teaching staff for smooth functioning of celebrations.
UVAS: The Counsellor, Deputy Head of Mission Ms Renate Pors and First Secretary Economic Affairs Ms Winnie van der Wal both from Netherlands visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and held a meeting with faculty members.
According to a press release the VC briefed the delegation about the UVAS academic, research, extension services, various training programmes and national & international linkages. They discussed the areas of mutual collaboration between UVAS and veterinary universities of Netherlands for the promotion of education and research.
UVAS Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman were also present on the occasion.
