An editorial staff member of The News International, Hasan Junaid, was among two motorcyclists injured in a hit-and-run reported at the Shaheen Complex intersection on Sunday evening.
The accident involved a car, a Suzuki Cultus, with government license plates (GSA-005). The car was speeding along Abdullah Haroon Road towards Pakistan Chowk and the two bikers were heading towards II Chundrigar Road from MR Kayani Road.
As the car’s driver looked to speed through the intersection, he rammed into the motorcyclists and both suffered injuries. Taking advantage of the privilege of being associated with the provincial government, the culpable driver sped away from the scene as passers-by came to the injured men’s aid.
