Qatar CG meets SBI chairperson
KARACHI: Consul General of Qatar in Karachi Mishal Mohammad A A. Al-Ansari called on Naheed Memon, chairperson of the Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) at her office on Thursday, a statement said.
They discussed business and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Qatar and measures to be taken to promote trade relationship between the two countries, it added. Memon emphasised that there are untapped opportunities for investment in agriculture, food processing and in hospitality sectors in Sindh.
The provincial government is offering numerous incentives and ready to facilitate potential investors, she said and expressed her willingness to meet Qatari businessmen to further discuss investment opportunities, the statement said.
The Qatar consul general acknowledged the long-lasting friendly relations between the two countries and said he wished to strengthen these relations. “We are open for all types of investment ventures,” he added. He extended his invitation to SBI chairperson to visit Qatar to meet businessmen.
