Police should abide by SOPs, says CCPO
LAHORE: Lahore CCPO Amin Wains has said that Lahore Police and masses are united to eliminate terrorists.
He said police force should abide by SOPs devised for their protection during their duties for the maintenance of law and order. He also said terrorists cannot bring their morale down by carrying out coward terrorist attacks like in Kot Lakhpat. The CCPO said this while chairing a meeting with police force to review law and order in the aftermath of Kot Lakhpat blast, at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Wednesday.
Amin Wains said Lahore Police are the custodian of 290 martyrs so police will utilise all-out resources to eliminate terrorists. He also paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Kot Lakhpat saying their names will be written in golden words in the history of Pakistan.
DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf, DIG Investigations Sultan Ch, DIG Security Dr Moeen, CTO Rai Ijaz, SSP Operations Athar Ismaeel and divisional SPs were also present in the meeting. DIG Haider addressing the force directed divisional SPs to brief cops on security duty about the prevailing threat. He said the SOPs should be implemented in true spirit. He also ordered to enhance patrolling and search operations on daily basis. He stressed on the strengthening of vigilance system at street level.
