Reply sought from Aitchison College principal
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from the principal of Aitchison College on a petition of a student, who was allegedly denied admission despite being successful in written test and interview.
Advocate Fawwad Malik Awan argued before the court that students up to seven-year of age could get admission to K-2 standard after passing the written test and the interview as per the college’s policy.
The lawyer pointed out that petitioner, Ibrahim, 6, had passed both test and interview but the college management denied him admission for being coming from Sindh. He said the college had treated the petitioner discriminatory, which was violation of the Constitution.
The counsel prayed to the court to order the college principal to grant the petitioner admission for being a successful candidate and also strike down the admission policy being discriminatory in nature and illegal.
