Boys bag top positions in Matric exam
LAHORE: Boys outshone girls in Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) Annual Examinations 2017 of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore by bagging top positions.
The names of the high achievers were announced at the board office here on Monday. The overall results will be announced on Tuesday (today). The overall top position in matric exams this year was bagged by Umer Tariq of Teach A Child High School, Johar Town by scoring 1087 marks out of total 1100 marks.
The second position was shared by Soban Khalid of Muslim Public Model High School, Sheikhupura and Aleesa Kaleem of the Educators Girls High School, Shahdra Campus, with 1086 marks each each.
The third position was also shared by Muhammad Abdullah of Unique High School, Muslim Town and Muhammad Abdullah Saleem of Govt Central Model High School, Lower Mall with 1085 marks each. In Science Group (Among Boys), top position was clinched by Umer Tariq, second by Soban Khalid and third was shared by Muhammad Abdullah and Muhammad Abdullah Saleem.
In Science Group (Among Girls), Aleesa Kaleem stood first, second position was shared by Zunaira Khan of Allama Iqbal Public High School, Raiwind Road, Kasur, Afaf Rehman of Crescent Model High School, Shahdman and Maira Zafar of The Educators, Pattoki, Kasur with 1083 marks each.
Third position was shared by six students including Misbah Nasir of The Educators, Pattoki, Kasur, Laraib Anmol of Al-Noorians High School, Shad Bagh, Farwa of Beaconhouse Girls High School, Gulberg, Hafiza Khadeeja Mutahir of Govt High School for Girls, Sant Nagar, Fatima Awais of Unique High Schoool, Muslim Town and Adeen Imtiaz of Govt Girls High School, Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur with 1082 marks each.
In Humanities Group (Among Boys), first position was shared by Usama Ikram of Govt High School, Sheikhupura and Zaryab Amjad, a private candidate from Lahore, with 1020 marks each.
Ghazanfar Ali of Govt Taeed ul Islam High School, Kasur and Muhammad Afzal, a private candidate from Lahore, bagged second and third position with 1015 and 1001 marks, respectively.
In Humanities Group (Among Girls), Habiba Bahjat of Qurban Girls High School, Walton Road, bagged first position with 1055 marks. Ayesha of Allama Iqbal Public High School, Raiwind Road, Kasur and Fariha Haq of Govt Pak Standard Girls High School, Shad Bagh stood second and third with 1052 and 1041 marks, respectively.
