Three brothers kill two sisters for ‘honour’

JHANG: Three brothers killed their two sisters for honour at Chak 181/JB on Sunday.
Zulekhan Bibi and her sister Gulzar Bibi wanted to contract love marriage but their parents refused. The family members detained the sisters in the house and tried to arrange their marriage in the family. To avoid forced marriage, the sisters tried to escape from the house but were caught. It infuriated Muhammad Asif and his brothers Shahbaz and Arshad and they allegedly gunned down their sisters Zulekhan Bibi and Gulzar Bibi. Mochiwala police have registered a double murder case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, the human rights activists, in their statement, have demanded the Punjab government take notice of the incident. They have also demanded them to try the double murder case in an anti-terrorism court.
