The most common problem faced by almost every citizen of Karachi is the traffic problem. It is still hard to comprehend why the traffic police cannot control the flow of traffic efficiently. In the areas where these cops can be find, traffic remains jam for hours. The distance which should ideally be completed in 20 minutes takes more than an hour to be covered. Citizens are also equally responsible for this traffic mayhem. Many people proudly break traffic law. They ignore the red light, unnecessary block the road because of wrong or double parking.
Many people ride motorbikes on footpath to avoid traffic jams, creating more problems for pedestrians. Careless driving by drivers of mini buses and rickshaw adds more to this already miserable situation. The concerned authorities are requested to take the notice of the issue. Residents face a lot of problems because of traffic jams. During peak hours, all main arteries are blocked, making it difficult to cover even a short distance.
