If you plan outdoor recreation today (Sunday), then you may rest assured that it will be really pleasant.
The reason is that it is likely to be a rainy weekend in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Even the two cities may see light showers fall tomorrow (Monday) too.
According to an official of the Met Office, the wet spell is caused by a fresh western disturbance, which is likely to persist over upper parts of the country for next three days.
“There is a high likelihood of light rain with snowfall over the hills happening at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawal-pindi, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Quetta, Zhob, and Gilgit-Baltistan today (Sunday),” he said. The weatherman also forecast showers with snowfall over the hills in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Sargodha, Kohat, Bannu, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to him, the minimum temperature recorded on Saturday was one degree centigrade in Islamabad and two degree centigrade in Rawalpindi with very cold and dry weather.
As for other cities, six degree centigrade with cold and dry weather was recorded in Lahore; 13 degree centigrade with dry weather in Karachi; four degree centigrade with cold and dry weather in Peshawar, and minus one degree centigrade with very cold and dry weather in Quetta.
