Govt will reject JIT report, says Elahi
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that the rulers are scared of their ouster.
He said this while responding to questions from the media on Sunday after participating in chehlum of Chairman Municipal Committee Talagang Malik Muhammad Naeem Tariq at his residence.
In reply to a question about rulers objections to JIT and announcements about rejecting its report, Pervaiz Elahi said the JIT was constituted by the Supreme Court and its report will also be presented to the Supreme Court not the PM so the government will reject it.
On this occasion, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, former MPAs Syed Saqlain Raza Shah, Col (R) Sultan Surkhru, Chairman Municipality Lawa Malik Qamar Altaf, President PML Chakwal Malik Asad, former Tehsil Nazim Malik Muzaffar, Ahmad Kamal, Khurram Kamal, Chairman Union Council Malikwal Malik Riaz Awan, Chairman Union Council Bhelubar Asghar Faazli, Chairman Union Council Dhuler Hafiz Sher Khan Awan, former Tehsil Nazim Malik Muzaffar Khan, senior Muslim League leader Sh Saeed Ahmad and former Nazim Union Council Dr Abdul Ghaffar were also with him.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said how do the rulers talk about the people since they have made people’s lives miserable enough that they are praying for a change, he alleged. He said in this land of Shuhada and Ghazis, we had constructed during our tenure of government a most modern Talagang Hospital for providing best healthcare facilities to their families but the PML-N government in nine years had not bothered to make it functional and even its modern CT Scan machines had also been shifted to some other place. —online
