Conspiracy against govt to fail: Muqam
NOWSHERA: Adviser to prime minister and provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Amir Muqam said on Saturday that conspirators would fail to create any hurdles in the development of the country.
Speaking to the participants of a ceremony after performing the ground-breaking of a 220-KVA gridstation in Jalozai area in Nowshera here, he said that the mission of the development of the country would continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“The people would give their decision through ballots in the 2018 general election,” he said, adding, that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) miserably failed to bring about any change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “The PTI cannot hoodwink the people anymore,” he added.
He said that the faces of harbingers of the so-called change stand exposed before the masses. He added that the PTI-led provincial government had imposed education emergency but the results of the secondary schools certificate (SSC) examinations speak loud about the hollow slogans of the PTI.
He maintained that not a single student of the state-run schools could secure a place for themselves in the SSC results which, he said, was a question mark on the performance of PTI government. “The claims of improving the standard of education in the state-run schools stands exposed,” he added.
He said that the private school of Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Asad Qaiser cashed in on the education emergency and the students of speaker’s -owned Quaid-e-Azam Public School obtained high marks in the SSC results.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan had announced to establish 350 dams but failed to honour the commitment. He maintained that the memory of what the PTI did to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission, episode of bank of Khyber and performance of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (Pedo) was still fresh in the minds of the people.
He said that the government had hired the chief executive officer of Pedo against a salary of Rs1.8 million per month but the department could not constructed any project to produce even a single megawatt electricity.
He alleged that rules were amended to pave the way for appointment of Akbar Ayub as the CEO Pedo. He alleged that against the merit appointments had been made in Pedo.
He added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had approved Rs600 million for provision of gas to National Assembly constituency NA-5 in Nowshera.
He alleged violation of rules in the award of the contract for construction of Lawi hydel power project in Chitral, saying the PTI would pay the price for the ignorance and mistakes of Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the next general election.
