Major road blocked by fallen tree

Islamabad: The Club Road saw suspension of traffic for many hours on Wednesday morning due to the falling of a tree by strong winds and rainfall. The users of the artery, mostly bound for Murree on excursion trip, were distressed after being stuck in traffic jam. Their frustration grew further after they found the traffic cops to be cutting the tree lying in the middle of the road with axes. The cops complained that they didn't have machinery or equipment to chop and remove the tree. However, the tree was later removed to clear the road to traffic.
