PTCL lodges FIR over cable theft

An incident of a “malicious” PTCL cable cut occurred on Hasrat Mohani Road near the Central Exchange of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited on Friday night.
PTCL sources said on Saturday that 14 primary telecommunication cables had been maliciously cut by some unknown persons and cable of about 43 metres was taken away, which affected 34 exchange cabinets.
The cable cut affected some 10,000 subscribers of the company in the area.
The sources said that police had been turning a blind eye towards the culprits behind the massive cable cut. The PTCL lodged an FIR against unidentified culprits at Mithadar Police Station in whose jurisdiction the incident had occurred.
