Railways special Eid operation will begin from Friday (today) as first train will leave Karachi for Peshawar.
Pakistan Railways had announced to run five special trains and reduce fares by 33 per cent on Eid. The first special Eid train will start its journey from Karachi to Peshawar on Friday at 11am. This train will travel through Khanpur, Faisalabad, Jhelum etc. would finally reach Peshawar Cantt on Saturday night at 10: 30pm.
According to a press release, the second special train will travel from Quetta to Rawalpindi and third will travel from Karachi to Lahore. The fourth train will travel from Rawalpindi to Multan and the fifth will travel from Multan to Rawalpindi. The special Eid operation will continue till 28 June.
On the directions of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, additional coaches would also be fixed with the trains to accommodate more and more passengers. The minister has directed the Railways police for strict security measures during the Eid operation.
