Renowned scholar, intellectual and social personality Orya Maqbool Jan has emphasised the need to revitalise the long lost glowing traditions and values of grand Muslim society which gave the world the light of knowledge.
He pointed put that the basic reason for our downfall despite having a great legacy was hypocrisy we have adopted in all spheres of our lives and the dual education system. He was delivering a special lecture on “Art & Islam”, at the inauguration of a Quranic verses calligraphy exhibition at the Ejaz Art Gallery, MM Alam Road on Friday evening.
The exhibition housed calligraphic masterpieces of renowned as well as young artists of the country. The exhibition is a permanent feature on all most all art galleries of the country in in the blessed month of Ramazan.
The mega event displayed the works of Saeed Akhtar, Aamir kamal, Amin Ul Hasanat, Arif Khan, Jamshed Qaiser, Javed Qamar, Munib Ali, Mussarat Arif, Noreen Akhter, Shahid Rana, Zulfiqar Ali, Zulqarnain and Ufaq Ehsan.. This highly inspiring show of great skills and talents of Pakistani calligraphic artists attracted a large number of people from all walks of live, predominantly from the world of art.
