ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) and National Press Club have demanded the PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry to apologise to The News senior reporter Umar Cheema over using irresponsible language against the reporter at a TV talk show.
The journalist bodies demanded unconditional apology from Fawad Chaudhry, otherwise, he will not be allowed to enter at the National Press Club, Islamabad.
The NPC president Shakeel Anjum, secretary Imran Yaqoob Dhilon, acting president of RIUJ Nasir Hashmi, general secretary Ali Raza Alvi in a joint statement said that Fawad Chaudhry has insulted the whole journalists fraternity. They demanded the PTI chairman Imran Khan to take action against the irresponsible attitude of Fawad Chaudhry. They warned Fawad Chaudhry to tender an apology within 24 hours, otherwise both RIUJ and NPC will make further strategy against him.
