KU cancels 18 admissions over forged mark sheets

The University of Karachi has cancelled 18 admissions in various disciplines in morning and evening programmes over the submission of forged mark sheets the applicants.

According to KU Director Admissions Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, on verification from the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, the mark sheets of 18 candidates who were granted admissions in the 2017 morning and evening programmes have been found forged/tampered with, and as per the varsity’s rules and regulations, their admissions have been cancelled with immediate effect.

He mentioned that in the morning programme, the admissions of Syed Muhammad Wasif Ali in the department of computer science, Muhammad Aqib Iqbal in chemistry, Muhammad Bilal and Syed Jahanzaib Ali in criminology, Muhammad Naveed and Faizan Asghar in geology, Sheeza Iffat in ISPA, Yamna Khan in marine sciences, Hafiza Yemna Yaseen in physics, Samiya Babar in physiology and Duaa Tariq in women’s studies had been cancelled.

Dr Iraqi stated that in the evening programme, the admissions of Syed Waleed Ahmed and Ameem Bin Mohiuddin in public administration, Himat Ali in computer science, Muhammad Mubashir Hasan in criminology, Farrukh Muhammad Nasir in food science and technology, Saeed Ahmed Mughal in ISPA and Muhammad Faheel Siddiqui in mass communication had been cancelled.
