Enemy to get befitting response: COAS
Says army capable of defeating all threats irrespective of front; Pakistan to continue support to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday said the Pakistan Army is aware of defence and security challenges being faced by the country and it is capable of defeating all threats “irrespective of the front”.According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief visited troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Muzaffarabad Sector. The COAS was given a detailed briefing by the local commander regarding the operational situation, Indian ceasefire violations and response by own troops.
While interacting with the troops, General Bajwa appreciated their state of operational readiness, exemplary high morale and motivation for fulfilment of assigned mission. The troops unreservedly shared with the COAS their feelings about Indian atrocities and ceasefire violations targeting innocent civilians and pledged that no Indian misadventure shall go without a befitting response.
The army chief was also briefed on the ongoing communication infrastructure development by the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). He appreciated the work, saying that the Army shall continue to play its role in nation building projects.
General Bajwa said the Army is aware of defence and security challenges being faced by the country and “we are capable to defeat all threats irrespective of the front”.
The COAS hailed Kashmiris on both sides of the LoC for their determination against Indian brutalities and reiterated that Pakistan shall continue its support for right to self-determination of Kashmiri brothers in the Indian held Kashmir (IHK). Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza, Commander Rawalpindi Corps, DG FWO and General Officer Commanding (GOC) Murree accompanied General Bajwa during the visit.
