President visits ombudsman’s office

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Husain who visited the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat on Monday generously lauded the services of country’s most experienced bureaucrat and Ombudsman Muhammad Salman Faruqui. The President stayed at the Secretariat for quite sometime and recorded his impressions in the visitor’s book.
He ascertained the working of the Ombudsman Secretariat and asked searching questions. President Mamnoon Hussain wrote that “It is indeed a pleasure for me to visit the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat to see its working.
It is encouraging to note that Mr. M. Salman Faruqui, Wafaqi Mohtasib has been able to dispose of record number of complaints since his appointment.” He added that “I am confident that this institution will fulfil its constitutional obligations and will continue to take new initiatives to redress the grievances of the public with the same zeal in future.”
