Business community terms budget balanced

Business community of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad termed the budget 2017-2018, as a balanced budget and expressed hope that businessmen would make all out efforts to get maximum mileage from the facilities announced for them.

While talking to ‘The News’ former president Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) Manzar Khursheed Shaikh said that Budget 2017-2018 is balanced and there are some opportunities for business community but the situation would be more clear after some days.

He said Pakistan is progressing and foreign investors are now more interested to invest in Pakistan because of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). “After few years, we will witness new developed Pakistan,” he hoped.

Former president RCCI Asad Haider Mashadi said that said business community was expecting more from this government because it was their last budget. “Detail reaction will be given after reviewing the budget documents,” he added.

He further said that business community was expecting more opportunities of investment in all the sectors but in this budget agriculture sector got more, as compared to other sectors. “We wish this government give same opportunity to all the other sectors,” he said.

Former president said that construction industry could have more because prime minister has already said about this sector that there is need to support it.

He said overall this budget was balanced budget for business community and industrialist, traders and businessmen with agriculture business have more opportunities.
