Climate Change Division gets Rs815m for next fiscal

The federal government has allocated Rs815 million for ongoing and new schemes of the Climate Change Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the next fiscal year, 2017-18.
According to the budget documents released here on Friday, Rs764 million has been doled out for ongoing schemes of the division and Rs51 million for new schemes.
Of the money, Rs605.172 million has been allocated for the Green Pakistan Programme - Revival of Forestry Resources in Pakistan and Rs100 million for the Green Pakistan Programme - Revival of Wildlife Resources in Pakistan.
The government has also given away Rs36 million for the Green Pakistan Programme - Strengthening of Zoological Survey of Pakistan undertaking immediate inventory of endangered wildlife species and habitats across Pakistan.
Also, there is a budgetary allocation of Rs15 million for the construction of boundary wall of Zoo-cum-Botanical Garden, Islamabad.
