LAHORE
An interesting group show of paintings of over five dozen vibrant artists was displayed the Coopera Art Gallery on Friday.
The show was organised by six internees, Adeela Khan, Mahnoor Khalid, Maham Qamar, Sara Javed, Warda Aziz and Zil-e-Huma, of Fine Art Department, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, sent for training at Coopera Art Gallery.
It was aimed at celebrating art activities and to provide an opportunity to art lovers and students to see a variety of artworks under one umbrella. The paintings having different styles and school of thoughts were showcased representing social and cultural life.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Muhammad Javed, a renowned artist and director of the gallery, who praised the work of the artists and efforts made by the six internees.
Participating artists included Dr. Shahida Manzoor, Muhammad Javed, Naila Aamir, Ustad Irfan Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad, Khalid Latif, Ghulam Abbas Kamangar, Mahboob Ali, Mahmood Alam, Rana Riaz Ahmad, Saba Rasheed, M. Shafiq, Abid Hussain Qureshi, Dilawar Ali, Iqbal Ahmad Khokhar, A. Q Arif, Sarfraz Musawar, Khatija Ramzan, A. Majeed Khaskhaily, Sadaqat H. Siddiqi, Mudassar Kazmi, Ibn-e-Nader al Kalam, Saima Munawar, Anwar Ali, Shahjahan Ahmad and Nabeela Khan.
A large number of artists, art lovers and students were present at the opening ceremony and took great interest in the work of the artists.
The exhibition will remain open daily for the public from 10am to 6pm except holidays until June 10, 2017, at 70, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Lahore
