Arms dealer’s licence cancelled
LAHORE
The Punjab government has cancelled the dealership license of an arms and ammunition company for its alleged involvement in illegal activities regarding weapons sale and purchase.
An FIR no. 576/17, dated on March 28, 2017 had already been filed against the Gull Gee Arms and Ammunition Company under section 13A-II /20/65 AO of the Arms Act 2015 at Police Station, Shahdrah, and Lahore
The police department submitted its report in which it has been stated that the original licensee died long ago and one Faheem had been running the arms business.
The report says he is not authorized by the Home Department to run the business. "He was given an opportunity for personal hearing but he did not appear before the Competent Authority.
There were reports about his involvement in illegal activities regarding weapons' sale and purchase," says a home department official while talking to The News. —Sher Ali Khalti
