Man chased, shot dead by ‘target killers’
A 50-year-old man was gunned down by two motorcyclists near the Chota Gate at Sharea Faisal on Thursday. SHO Shah Faisal Athar Malik said Muhammad Hussain, son of Ramzan, was shifted to hospital for treatment, but his life could not be saved due to excessive bleeding. Eyewitnesses told the police that two bike riders were chasing the deceased and when he sensed that he was being followed, the man tried to escape, but the assailants shot at him, the SHO added. He said the victim sustained a single bullet on his back which proved fatal. The SHO said the incident seemed to be a target killing as the attackers did not take away the deceased’s cell phone or any other stuff.
