Electrician electrocuted in factory

LAHORE

A 28-year-old man electrocuted in a factory at Shahdara on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Ishaq. He was doing electrical work in the factory at Barkat Town, Shahdara, when he suffered a fatal electric shock and died.

Robbers arrested: Green Town investigation police claimed to have arrested four robbers and recovered loot from their possession. The arrested accused robbers were identified as Ali Raza, Alyas, Shahzad and Adeel. Cash, cell phones and two pistols were seized from their possession.

Woman dies: A woman expired in a hospital on Sunday, a few hours after she jumped from a factory building in Hunjarwal. The woman, Zahida, hailed from Okara and worked in a local factory. Police have arrested two suspects in connection with her mysterious death.

Traffic wardens seniority list: CTO said that City Traffic police had issued a seniority list of 3,010 traffic wardens. He said that the objective behind issuing the seniority list was to promote all traffic wardens on merit.  The seniority list had been prepared according to the badges of traffic wardens recruited in 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2014, he added.

PHP drive: PHP held public lectures and seminars and set up road camps at 3,256 places across the Punjab during a 10-day anti-tobacco campaign.  PHP teams visited 969 public places, 909 public transport, 558 schools and colleges, 215 hospitals and 158 other public sectors and distributed pamphlets and handbills pertaining to anti tobacco laws among the public.
