Spurious drugs seized in factory raid

Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health and Chief Minister Task Force on Spurious/Substandard Drugs Chairman Khawaja Imran Nazir along with squad of drug inspectors raided a factory on Sheikhupura Road and confiscated a large quantity of medicine which was being manufactured illegally. 

While talking to the media on the premises, Khawaja Imran Nazir said that the factory was already sealed and its manufacturing licence was suspended, even then its owners continued production of the medicine at night. The minister said the people were caught red handed while manufacturing medicine in the factory. A huge quantity of medicines was confiscated. He said that two persons had been arrested and an FIR registered against the owners of the factory.

Khawaja Imran Nazir said that manufacturing of medicines without license was a sheer violation of the law and strict action would be taken against the culprits.  He said that the crackdown on manufacturing of substandard, spurious and unregistered medicines would be continued to ensure provision of quality medicines to the people of Punjab. 

Training: Albayrak Waste Management Company arranged training and discussion sessions for its workforce to keep them aware of health and safety measures, personal protective equipment and right field practices during their clean-up operations.  Speaking on the occasion, senior company officials demonstrated the correct field practices.
