A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday between the Jang Group and the Pegasus Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd., whereby the Jang Group will be the media partners of Pegasus for an event, an exhibition to be held from September 8 to 10, 2017, at the Expo Centre, in Karachi.
The exhibition will feature electrical, electronic and consumer brands, plus household products on a single platform.
Aimer Khanzada, managing director, Pegasus Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd., signed the MoU on behalf of his organisation, while Sarmad Ali of the Jang Group signed it on behalf of the media group.
M/S Pegasus are among the leading event managing companies. They were the ones that organised one of the biggest exhibitions of the country, Ideas 2000, an expo featuring Pakistan-manufactured defence equipment.
The accord was signed in the presence of Asim Siddiqui, chairman, Pegasus Consultancy; Uzma Rizvi of the Jang Group; and Danish Alvi, senior manager, Media & Communication, Pegasus.
Talking to The News, Alvi said Pakistan, with a population of 200 million, was the sixth largest consumer base in the world, with an 80 percent of its household consumption of its GDP. An increasing literacy rate and the vertical move of the poor into the middle class have given consumerism a fillip and Pakistan makes ideal ground for revolutionising modern living.
There will be many side attractions at the event, like lucky draws, free return tickets, cash prizes, instant gift coupons, discount coupons, children’s fun area, food stalls and bumper prizes. The MoU signing took place at the offices of The News.
