Governor, Saudi envoy discuss investment opportunities

The consul general of Saudi Arabia in Karachi, Muhammad Abdullah Abdul Daim, on Wednesday called of Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair and discussed matters related to investment opportunities in the province.

On the occasion, the governor said the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was immersed in the spirit of Islamic brotherhood that could in no manner be compromised.

Appreciating the long-standing support of the Saudis, he said Pakistanis always cherished and kept in high esteem their relationship with the country that had always stood by them and their State in times of tribulations and trial.

They discussed the ongoing Pak-Saudi economic cooperation in different sectors and the matters of mutual interests.

Since the improved law and order situation in Karachi, Zubair said, the port city had re-emerged as an ideal city for investment. Foreign investors were trying to take advantage of the lucrative opportunities in the megalopolis, the governor added.

The Saudi envoy said his country was keen to see a strong and stable Pakistan in the region. He said Saudi Arabia would provide support and assistance for infrastructure development besides investing in in energy.
