CDA labour union demands salary raise in upcoming budget

The labour union of Capital Development Authority (CDA) has demanded of the government to raise the salaries of low-grade employees in line with the ratio of inflation and price-hike in the upcoming budget because it has become difficult for them to live an honorable life in limited financial resources.

The office-bearers of the CDA's Labour Union including Chaudhry Yasin, Aurangzeb Khan, Sardar Muhammad Asif and Chaudhry Zahid said lack of representation of the laborers in the parliament is main reason for their suppression because the industrialists and feudal never want to give due rights to the working class of the country.

They were of the view that inflation was soaring day by day while the laborers and the poor were not in a position to tackle the situation, adding "The price-hike has made lives of the government employees' miserable as they were unable to afford even routine expenses with their low salaries."

"The biggest problem for the working class is price-hike because the salaries are not raised in line with the ratio of inflation in the country. Now we will get united and raise the voice for our rights envisaged in the Constitution," they said.

They hoped that the federal government would announce a special package for laborers and low-grade employees in the upcoming budget because the ruling party in its election manifesto had promised revolutionary steps for uplift of the working class.
