Turbat is one of the biggest cities of Balochistan and has only one public library. Do the authorities think that just one library is enough to encourage the habit of reading in the city?
Because of the prevailing economic conditions, buying books has become a luxury that only a few can afford. Students have requested the authorities to set up libraries in the city, but no step has been taken to date. The higher authorities should look into the matter at the earliest.
