Three gunned down in Haripur

HARIPUR: Three people from the same family were gunned down near here on Monday, the police said.Officials of the Sera-e-Saleh Police Station quoted family sources as saying that Qari Muhammad Javed, his younger brother Muhammad Khalid and their maternal nephew Adil were on way back home from Rawalpindi when unidentified people ambushed their vehicle near Phala Gali area. The attackers, who were more than two, opened indiscriminate fire on the car, killing them on the spot. The police said the family had not nominated anyone in the triple-murder case.

MINGORA: A man shot dead his mother over domestic dispute at Matta tehsil in Swat district on Monday, police said. They said that one Khanullah, son of Gul Muhammad, after exchanging harsh words, fired at his mother, whose name could not be ascertained, killing her on the spot. The body was shifted to the hospital in Matta for autopsy and later handed over to the family.
