Change in weather reduces power loadshedding

Islamabad: The pleasant weather conditions not only provided the residents of the twin cities with relief in power loadshedding but also caused a ‘temporary break’ in intensive heat wave of the summer season.

“It is a pleasant surprise for the people that the power loadshedding has been reduced considerably but we know that it is a temporary relief and the situation would again get worse in the coming days,” said Irshad Malik, a resident of Sector G-8.

He said a change in weather has definitely caused a reduction in demand due to which there is some respite in the power outages, adding “When will the government fulfil its promises of ending power loadshedding in the country?”

The residents of the twin cities have been braving increasing power loadshedding even in the month of April but the pleasant weather in the last couple of days provided them with some much needed relief from scheduled and unscheduled power outages.

Ishtiaq Rao, a resident of Sector G-6, said it seems that the people always have to wait for a pleasant change in the weather conditions to get relief in the summer season otherwise it is apparently difficult that the government would be able to meet the growing demand of electricity in the country.

He hoped that the situation would not again reach the point where the power loadshedding badly disturbs the routine affairs of the people and they even find it difficult to get to their workplaces on time.
