Killed over enmity
A citizen identified as Farman Ansari, a resident of Liaquatabad, was shot and injured in a firing incident near Sindhi Hotel. The victim later succumbed to injuries at a hospital. According to the police, the deceased was most likely targeted over a business dispute or financial matter.
Body found
The body of an as-yet unidentified person was found dumped in the city’s Zia Colony area. A passerby spotted the body and informed the police who shifted it to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. Officials said they had started gathering evidence and hoped the case would be solved soon.
